Specialized Silicone Compound

Specialized Silicone Compound In house team of chemists with full service rubber lab for customizing formulations to your needs. - Customizating compounds to your hardness, color, strength, environmental resistance needs and much more. - Preforming: we can supply material in rolls, sheets, cut to length, or precise extruded preforms for molding. - Every batch is tested prior to shipment to ensure product consistency. -Color matching for small to large quantities

We are one of the largest compounders and molders of silicone rubber in North America. The majority of our silicone rubber compounds use a speciality platinum addition cure system that we formulate internally. This cure system is typically reserved for medical applications because it typically adds a lot of cost when compared to the typical peroxide cure system. Since we are vertically integrating formulating the cure system internally and we have the scale that we do we can use this cure system without additional costs when compared to peroxide cure systems. Because of our special cure system and formulation in our compounds we can have much better physical properties than standard silicone compounds. It is common for our compounds to have double the tear strength and 25%+ higher tensile strength than standard peroxide compounds.

We have double arm sigma mixers and compound silicone from the polymer, which is very uncommon for rubber molders. We create our own masterbatches for the cure system, pigments, mold release and more all internally which gives us a huge cost advantage, more controlled processes and allows us to perfect our formulations to maximize the efficiency in our molding departments.

Platinum Cure System Masterbatches

Industry leading platinum cure system masterbatches for molding as well as for extrusions. Our cure systems have up to a 6 month shelf life and are designed with flexibility in mind to meet a wide spectrum of applications. Cost competitive with peroxide curing with many additional benefits including better physicals, ability to load up compound for cost savings, shorter cure time, cleanliness, no need for post curing and much more. As well, with our in house lab, we can reverse engineer existing products or determine specifications based on your application.

Banbury Mixer- Organic rubber compounding

We have a 75L Farrel Banbury and 3 2 roll mills dedicated to compounding organic rubbers including: SBR, EPDM, NBR, FKM, neoprene, HNBR, AEM, natural rubber and more. We can handle high volume production with our banbury mixing compounding line that can handle millions of pounds of rubber per year. We also have several different sized 2 roll mills to handle the low to medium volume compounding requirements of organic rubbers. Our team has decades of experience formulating organic rubber compounds. Many times we have a formulation with test results available that meets our customer's requirements without needing to do any additional development work.

One area we have a competitive advantage and scale is with automotive floor mats. We have invested lots of time and money to develop the most cost effective floor mat compound that meets strict automotive standards and excels in most floor mat applications. Our most common SBR compound is incredibly cost effective, processes well, non staining, and excellent physical properties for the price point.

Another compound that is used in high quantities and is especially competitive are our FKM/Viton compounds used as liners for hoses. We have developed formulations that process well in extrusion + hose wrapping manufacturing processes, is cost effective compared to other FKM compounds, has great adhesion to the next layers of Nomex fabric and silicone rubber.

Quality

Our in-house lab ensures the highest level of quality via complete physical property testing in the raw material compounding process and burst pressure testing after parts are manufactured. Our team of chemists can help formulate material to withstand any extreme environment your parts may encounter.
